Ilkay Ulusoy gained her BSc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, in 1994, an MSc. in Biomedical Engineering from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA in 1996. In 2003 she received her PhD. degree in EEE from METU. Now she is an Associate Professor in the same department and a member of the Computer Vision and Intelligent Systems Research Laboratory (CVISRL). During her PhD studies she worked with Edwin Hancock from the University of York, UK and after her PhD. She worked with Christopher M. Bishop at the Microsoft Research Center, Cambridge, UK. Her main research activities include computer vision and pattern recognition as applied to camera calibration, stereo vision, tracking, fusion, multi-scale analysis, 3D feature extraction and object recogntion, automatic video annotation, 3D human face modeling, satellite image processing, etc.
