Information for Masters/Ph.D. Students

If you like to pursue your degree while conducting research in the following fields, please contact me in my office. You are always welcome to come to my office and discuss any topic related to the subjects below. My interests are mainly in the below mentioned areas but not limited to those. Any topic which is related to communications and information theory is suitable. If you have a specific project in your mind, that is acceptable as well.

Ø Communication in fading channels: iterative algorithms, performance analysis etc.

Ø Information Theory: capacity for channels and modulation techniques etc.

Ø Joint coding and modulation: coded bandwidth-efficient modulation etc.

Ø Coding theory: turbo codes, turbo-like codes, LDPC codes, optimal/suboptimal decoding algorithms, performance analysis etc.

Ø Networking: Wireless networks, ad hoc networking, energy-efficient networks, multi-hop networks etc.
